Description

The Church of All Saints is a Grade II* listed church located in Huntington, North Yorkshire. The building features a 15th-century chancel, with a nave, tower, and organ chambers added in 1874 by architect C T Newstead. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and has a Welsh slate roof.

The church has a three-bay nave, a south-west tower, and a north aisle, along with a three-bay chancel that includes an organ chamber to the south. The 19th-century sections are designed in a geometric style. The west end of the nave showcases three stepped lancet windows. The tower is three stages high, with angle buttresses on the right side, a single pointed window with a hoodmould and label stops, a triplet of lancets above, and a pair of pointed shafted belfry openings on the third stage. The eaves cornice features a foliate motif, and the tower is topped by a broach spire. The other exposed faces of the tower are similar, except for a pointed doorway on the south side.

The nave contains two-light windows, with single-light windows in the aisle. The chancel has a plinth that is cut by a basket-arched priest's door, with a cinquefoil-headed window to the left. Above, a string course supports two two-light windows, while the organ chamber has paired lancets. The east end of the chancel features a three-light Perpendicular window, flanked by diagonal buttresses.

Inside, there is a re-set 12th-century south door with shafts and waterleaf capitals, as well as a 12th-century round pier supporting a two-bay arcade in the organ chamber. The chancel includes tripartite sedilia and a piscina.
