Description

This is a mid-18th century house located on the north side of The Old Village in Huntington. It is built of brick in a random bond pattern with a pantile roof. The original design featured a three-cell through-passage plan with a cross wing at the rear. The house is two storeys high and has four windows on the first floor. The front door is a six-panelled door set beneath an overlight, and is framed by a pilastered door-case with a plain frieze and cornice. All windows are four-pane sashes; those on the ground floor are set beneath 20th-century soldier arches. A first-floor band runs around the building, and there is a dentilled eaves course. The gables have coping, and there are end stacks.
