Description
65, 67, and 69 Gillygate are three houses that have been converted into a shop. They were built in the early 19th century and are made of painted brick. Number 65 has a pantiled roof, while numbers 67 and 69 have slate roofs.
The buildings are two storeys high. Number 65 features two bays with sashed windows that have brick flat arches, and it has a doorway in the right-hand bay. The other two houses each have one bay and sashed windows with painted rusticated stone or stucco lintels. Number 69 has a doorway on the right side, and number 67 has a doorway on the left, next to number 65's doorway. All doors consist of six raised and fielded panels set within reeded pilaster doorcases that have corner bosses. The overlight above number 67's door has margin panes, while the other overlights are plain. Above the ground-floor windows, there is a 20th-century sign board. The gutter is supported by paired timber brackets, and there is a chimney located in front of the ridge between numbers 67 and 69. The interior has not been inspected.
