Description
No. 38 Parliament Street is a house with a shop, built between 1836 and 1839, with later 19th-century alterations and a 20th-century shopfront. The building is painted and rough-cast, featuring a moulded timber eaves cornice and a slate roof with a brick stack.
The exterior is four stories high with a one-window front. It has 12-pane sash windows on the first and second floors, with the first-floor window being taller, and an unequal 9-pane sash window on the third floor. All windows have painted stone sills and channelled wedge lintels. There is a fluted bowl rainwater head located at the right end of the eaves cornice.
The interior has not been inspected.
