Description

39 Parliament Street is a house with a shop, built between 1836 and 1839, with later 19th-century alterations and a 20th-century shopfront. The building features painted and rough-cast walls, and has a moulded timber eaves cornice. It has a slate roof with a brick stack. The exterior is four stories high with a two-window front. The first and second floors have 12-pane sash windows in raised surrounds, while the third floor has an unequal 9-pane sash window in an architrave. The second and third floor windows have painted sills. There is an octagonal bowl rainwater head at the left end of the eaves cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
