Description
No. 21 Goodramgate is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone early 19th century and 20th century alterations, including a 20th century shopfront. The front is made of painted brick in Flemish bond, while the rear and right side are constructed from orange-brown brick. The building features a double span pantile roof with timber guttering supported by paired block brackets and brick stacks.
The exterior has two storeys and a two-window front. The shopfront is made of plate glass. On the first floor, there are 12-pane sash windows with painted flat arches. The rear of the building has two storeys and three windows. The ground floor is obscured, but on the first floor, there is a 20th century window to the left and two 12-pane sashes to the right, all set in altered openings. A brick eaves band with heavy brick dentils is present. The right return features two external stacks and a blocked pigeon loft with two landing platforms in the gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
