Description
This is a threshing barn located on the west side of a crew-yard, approximately 80 metres southwest of The Old Vicarage. It dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century and is constructed of brick with a pantile roof. The barn is two storeys high and has seven bays, featuring opposed central cart entrances.
On the east side, which faces the yard, there is a slightly projecting central section that includes a pair of plank doors beneath a timber lintel, flanked by three slit vents on each floor. The eaves are stepped, and the gables are brick coped and tumbled.
At the rear, there is a central 20th-century sliding door with three slit vents to the left, and an inserted 19th-century door to the left end under a segmental arch. To the right, there are two slit vents and a later blocked opening. The first floor has four pitching hatches, three of which have plank doors with strap hinges, along with four slit vents. The gable ends also feature slit vents and single pitching hatches.
There are single-storey ranges adjoining to the east, but these are of no special interest.
