Description
Manton Cottage is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later windows. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof, with a slate roof on the right extension. The layout consists of two rooms with a central lobby entry and a small extension on the right. The cottage is a single storey with an attic and has two windows, along with a lower single window extension. There are steps leading to a 19th-century panelled door, which is set under a segmental header arch and flanked by 4-pane sash windows in flush wooden architraves, also under similar arches. The extension has a small 4-pane sliding sash window under a segmental arch. The building has stepped brick eaves and raised and tumbled brick gables. There is an attic casement window on the right return and a 4-pane attic sash window on the left return. Inside, the cottage features beamed ceilings.
