Description

SE 71 SE CROWLE EALAND OUTGATE (north side) Ealand 3/159 No 61 15.7.87 - II

House. Early-mid C18 with later alterations. Brick, colour-washed. Pantile roof. 2-room, central entrance plan. Stands gable end to street. Single storey with attic, 2 windows. C20 glazed door flanked by unsympathetic C20 casements in original openings beneath segmental arches. Stepped eaves. Stone-coped gables with shaped kneelers. End stack to right, later external end stack to left. Right gable has attic window with C20 glazing and wrought-iron letters "M D". Interior contains chamfered spine beams, exposed joists. Adjoining extension to left is not of special interest.
