Description
Burnham Grange is a house built in the mid-18th century, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed of yellow-brown brick and features a pantile roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, consisting of a three-room front with a stair hall to the right of the center, along with a later rear wing and outshut. It stands two storeys tall and has five symmetrical bays.
There are steps leading up to a central recessed 20th-century door, which is set beneath a channelled and keyed stucco cambered arch. The ground floor has 16-pane flush sash windows, each with similar stucco arches and stone cills. The first floor features four unequal flush sash windows with glazing bars and stone cills. The eaves are stepped, and the gables are finished with brick copes and kneelers on the left and a stone cope on the right. There is a central axial stack and end stacks, with the left stack being a 20th-century rebuild.
Inside, there is a single-flight closed-string staircase dating from around 1800, which has a column newel and balusters. The ground floor to the right has a dentilled ceiling cornice, and there are panelled doors, window shutters, and reveals throughout the interior.
