Description

The structure consists of piers, a dwarf wall, and railings located 10 metres south of the Old Court House in Kirton in Lindsey. It dates from the mid to late 18th century, with 19th-century railings. The piers are made of red brick and feature limestone ashlar dressings, while the dwarf wall is complemented by wrought iron railings. There is a central gateway flanked by a chamfered dwarf wall, which has 18th-century wrought iron posts with moulded finials and 19th-century iron railings. The square-section piers have chamfered plinths and moulded caps. A central iron gate from the 20th century is present but has no special interest.
