Description

The water pump house, located approximately 10 metres east of Blacksmith's Cottage, dates from the late 19th century and has undergone later repairs and additions. It features timber walls and a corrugated iron roof, with an ashlar base and brick retaining walls. The pump house is rectangular in shape, recessed into the roadside bank, with retaining walls at the rear and sides. It measures approximately one metre wide, two metres deep, and two metres high, housing a pump with a roof that slopes towards the back.

There is a central iron spout with an attached bucket hook, a second spout above it, and a 20th-century spout located to the lower right. A long wrought iron pump lever handle is positioned on the right side, with single iron crank handles on each side. The front left features a hatch with strap hinges, while a similar hatch on the right is blocked. The interior has not been inspected. An ashlar slab at the front includes an incised drain, and the lever pump is in working order.
