Description

An electric street lamp located at the south-west corner of Holy Trinity churchyard in Kingston upon Hull, this lamp dates from the early 20th century. It is made of cast iron and was produced by H Smith & Co. The lamp features a tapered fluted stem with a ladder rest and a square lamp topped with a finial. The rectangular pedestal has a corniced top that houses the switchgear and bears the inscription "H Smith & Co., Electrical Engineers, Vulcan Ironworks, Hull."
