Description
This electric street lamp, located at the north west corner of Holy Trinity churchyard in Kingston upon Hull, dates from the early 20th century. It is made of cast iron and was produced by H Smith & Co. The lamp features a tapered fluted stem with a ladder rest and a square lamp topped with a finial. The rectangular pedestal has a corniced top that houses the switchgear, which is inscribed with "H Smith & Co., Electrical Engineers, Vulcan Ironworks, Hull."
