Description
The columbarium, located 75 meters south of the crematorium at Hedon Road Cemetery in Kingston upon Hull, was built in 1899 and has had various 20th-century additions. It features irregular masses of tufa, brick, and concrete, mostly rendered, designed to resemble natural rock formations. The structure has an irregular plan with a winding central avenue that is approximately 70 meters long. Inscribed tablets made of marble and granite are affixed to the rock to cover the cells. This columbarium is complementary to the nearby crematorium.
