Description
Arden's Vaults is an early 18th-century building located on the south-east side of Hengate in Beverley. This two-storey structure is made of painted brick and was originally built for use as wine vaults, a purpose it served until recently. The ground floor features arched double doorways leading to the vaults, along with one single door and two small fixed windows. On the first floor, there is a two-panel door above the main doors and three sash windows with glazing bars. The building has a wooden gutter supported by block brackets and a pantile roof. Inside, the vaults are brick vaulted, and there is a former hoist in the granary above the vaults. National Monument Register Photograph shall be added as last sentence of the description.
