Description
No. 5A on Hengate is a late 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall, constructed of red brick with a machine tile roof. It features a moulded brick eaves cornice and tumbled brickwork at the gable end. The façade includes one window and a smaller window, both with rendered lintels, and hung sashes that have glazing bars. The entrance boasts an 18th-century door with six fielded panels and a three-light rectangular fanlight above it. Additionally, there is an early 19th-century doorway that is framed by a wood pilaster case. The description will also note the Firemark of the Royal Exchange Assurance Company.
