Description

This is a house, now divided into two dwellings, built in the early 18th century and renovated between 1985 and 1986, including rebuilding the ground floor on the right-hand side. The building is constructed of brick, now rendered, with a pantile roof. Originally, the plan consisted of three rooms with an original lobby entrance on the left and a later entrance added on the right. It is two storeys high, with three windows on the first floor. A moulded brick plinth is present on the left side. The house has 20th-century six-panel doors and 16-pane sash windows. The original windows are found on the ground floor on the left and on the first floor, set within flush wooden architraves with sills and channelled wedge lintels featuring fluted keys. Other windows and doors have been replaced in the 20th century. The building features a modillion brick eaves cornice and 20th-century stone-coped gables. Corniced axial and end stacks are also present. Internally, the ground floor on the left and the first floor both have exposed spine beams and joists. Some of these beams retain chamfers and run-out stops.
