Description
This is a house, now divided into two dwellings, dating from circa 1700, with later alterations. It is located on the north side of Rawcliffe High Street. The building is constructed of red brick, with a rendered front, and has a pantile roof. The original plan included a three-room front with a lobby entry to the left of centre. A door has been inserted into what was formerly a blocked shop front on the left-hand side of the property (No. 112).
The two-storey building has three windows on the first floor. It features a plinth, and a part-glazed door to No. 110 sits within its original opening, accompanied by two 20th-century casement windows to the right, set within lengthened original openings and having sills. No. 112 has a similar part-glazed door and casement window in a recessed panel, representing the blocked former shop front. A first-floor band separates the ground and upper floors. The first floor also features casement windows, those for No. 110 in lengthened original openings, and the window for No. 112 in a widened original opening. The eaves are corbelled, and the gables are raised with brick coping. It has a cross-plan axial stack and an end stack on the right-hand side. The interior contains spine beams that have been boxed in; a full investigation of the interior has not been carried out.
