Description
Aughton Ruddings Grange is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with later additions to the door and windows. It is constructed of brick in English garden wall bond and has a pantile roof. The house features a central entry and is two storeys high with three bays. There are steps leading up to a 20th-century glazed door, which has an overlight and is flanked by four-pane sash windows. A four-course band runs along the building, and the first floor has plate-glass sashes. All openings have flat brick arches, and there is a timber beam at the eaves level. The gable ends are raised with brick kneelers, and there are stacks at both ends. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is reported to contain massive cross beams.
