Description
Lindum House is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of brick in English garden wall bond and has a Roman tile roof. The house features a central hallway entry and is two storeys high with three bays. The entrance includes a six-fielded-panel door set beneath an overlight with semicircular radial glazing, all within a pilastered doorcase that has festoons on the sunken panels of the pilasters and a swag on the tympanum of the open pediment. On either side of the entrance are tripartite bow windows on bowed plinths, which have sashes with glazing bars. These windows are flanked by panelled pilasters that bear swags and are topped with a frieze featuring relief paterae. On the first floor, there is a dummy window flanked by 16-pane sashes. The house has a stepped eaves course and end stacks, with the left stack having been rebuilt. The interior has not been inspected.
