Description

Nos. 31 and 32 New Road are a pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings, featuring timber eaves cornices and slate roofs. The houses rise to three storeys and have a two-window front. Each house has panelled doors set in panelled soffits and reveals, framed by Doric pilastered doorcases with triglyph friezes. All the windows are 16-pane sashes, positioned under flat gauged brick arches. The roofs are hipped, with a central stack that has a decorative band.
