Description

The gate piers to Kilnwick Old Hall date from the mid-18th century. They are made of brick, which is rendered and colour-washed. The piers are rusticated and square in shape, topped with ball finials. On either side of the main piers, there are smaller, similar piers. These piers were originally the entrance to Kilnwick Hall, which was demolished around 1951.
