Description

The Rose and Crown Public House is an early 20th-century building featuring two storeys and attics designed in a half-timbered style, with a brick and rendered ground floor. The right side of the building has two gables adorned with bargeboards that are intricately carved with vine patterns. Above, there is a three-light oriel window positioned over a ten-light mullion and transom window, which includes side lights. The entrance consists of panelled double doors that are set back in a porch supported by wooden posts. On the left side, there are two two-light windows located on the canted rendered ground floor, which is beneath a balcony supported by wooden posts and topped with a gable that also features vine carvings on the bargeboards. The first floor has recesses in this area. A single dormer is present in the tiled roof. The side elevation rises to three storeys and includes two gables, a canted centre, and two oriel windows, with the ground floor rendered.
