Description
Number 2 North Bar Without is a building dating from around 1795. It stands three storeys tall with an attic, constructed of red brick. The structure features a parapet and a light moulded blocking course. There are three windows and one blank space, all with gauged flat arches and near flush frame sashes that do not have glazing bars. A painted stone cill band is present on the first floor. The entrance is framed by a wood doorcase that has applied attenuated Doric columns, an entablature, and a modillion pediment. The door itself is a six-panel design with a plain rectangular fanlight above. This house is an important part of the North Bar, to which it is attached.
