The Royal Standard Inn is a building that possibly dates back to the 17th century and features a timber-framed structure that was refronted in the early 18th century. It has two storeys and an attic, with a painted stucco exterior and a pantile roof supported by wooden block brackets. There is one dormer and two sash windows on the first floor, which do not have glazing bars. The ground floor includes a shop window and a door, both set in wooden cases adorned with pilasters and entablatures.
