Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on the east side of Northgate, Hessle. The house is constructed of grey brick with a slate roof. It has a symmetrical facade of three bays. The central doorway features a 20th-century glazed door with a fanlight, set within a fluted architrave with a bracketed open pediment. Flanking the doorway are 16-pane sashes with sills, each beneath a segmental, channelled, wedge lintel. Above the doorway is a 12-pane sash, also with a sill and a matching lintel. Further 16-pane sashes are located on either side of the first floor, mirroring the ground floor windows in their design. The roof is hipped, with stacks at each end.
