Description

North Lodge is a house dating to circa 1770, with a later range added to the rear. It is constructed of brick, with a pebbledashed and colour-washed finish, and has slate roofs. The two-storey, four-bay front features a six-panel door with an overlight containing vertical glazing, set within an open latticed timber porch. The porch is flanked to the right and left by 16-pane sashes, with two windows to the left and one to the right. Above the door is a smaller 12-pane sash, and the remaining bays have 16-pane sashes. The building has end and axial stacks, and plain close verges. Internally, a late 18th century staircase features a closed string, vase balusters, and a slender moulded handrail.
