Description

Crawshaw Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th to early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in an English garden wall bond pattern, with a cast-pantile roof. The main range is two storeys high and three bays wide, with a two-storey, two-bay rear wing. On the ground floor, the central entrance is blocked, and there are 16-pane sash windows. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars. A dentilled brick eaves cornice runs along the top of the main range, punctuated by an end stack and a raised coped gable. The rear wing features a door with six raised and fielded panels, a glazed overlight, and a bolection-moulded doorcase and reveals, alongside a 16-pane sash window. Two similar 16-pane sashes are located on the first floor of the rear wing, accompanied by a dentilled brick eaves cornice and plain close verges.
