Description
Beech House is a late 18th and early 19th century house located on the south side of Northgate in Cottingham. The house is constructed of brick with a timber cornice and a slate roof. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance features a glazed and panelled door with a fanlight incorporating radial glazing, set within a pilastered doorcase topped with an open pediment. To the right and left of the entrance are C19 square bays containing two-light casement windows. The first floor has three 12-pane sash windows with sills under wedge lintels. A mutule eaves cornice runs along the top of the house, and it has a hipped roof with end stacks.
