Description
Nafferton Kesters Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brown brick, with the main elevation rendered, and features a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. A 20th-century door is located to the left, flanked by 19th-century tripartite sliding sashes. The first floor also has sliding sashes with glazing bars. Notable architectural details include a stepped brick eaves cornice, end and axial stacks, and tumbled-in brick at the raised gables.
Inside, the farmhouse retains many original features, including two ground floor rooms and one first floor room with raised and fielded panelling. The first floor bedroom features a panelled overmantel with a beaded surround. Additionally, the first floor joists have quarter-round mouldings, and there is a chamfered bressumer over a large, formerly open fireplace in the kitchen.
