Description
Rutland House is a house dating from 1764. It is constructed of red brick in an English garden wall bond, with stone dressings, and has a pantiled roof. The house is two storeys and has attics, with a three-bay layout. A 20th-century garage is located to the left. A 20th-century door is positioned on the right side, set within a flat, gauged brick arch with a raised keyblock bearing the inscription 'W. W.1764'. Sixteen-pane sashes are present on the right and left sides, with sills beneath flat, gauged brick arches also featuring raised keyblocks. A blocked fire window is located on the left. A first-floor band runs around the building, and the first floor has sliding sash windows with glazing bars. The eaves have a dentilled brick cornice, and there are end and axial stacks, with tumbled-in brickwork to the raised gables.
