Description

Corner Cottage and Sunset Cottage is a single building dating from before 1761. It features cobbles with brick dressings and a pantiled roof. The structure has a central direct entry plan with a rear wing and is one storey high with attics, comprising three bays. The elevation is balanced, with a central boarded door, a sliding sash window to the left, and a 20th-century window with glazing bars to the right. The roof includes dormers, sprocketed eaves, and both end and axial stacks, with tumbled-in brick on the raised gables. An earlier origin for the building is indicated by the presence of a single cruck blade in the north gable wall of Sunset Cottage.
