Description
Cross Gates Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick and features a pantiled roof. The building has a central lobby-entry plan and stands two storeys high with four bays arranged in a 2:1:1 pattern. The entrance consists of a boarded door flanked by tripartite casements, with a two-light casement to the left, all set under segmental brick arches. There is a first-floor band, and the first floor has similar window arrangements, including a two-light casement above the door. The farmhouse is adorned with a dentilled brick eaves cornice and has a stack located at the rear of the ridge. Additionally, there are first-floor and attic bands on the gable walls, which feature raised gables supported by brick kneelers.
