Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on the north side of Main Street in Garton on the Wolds. It is a double-range building, meaning it was originally planned with two distinct sections. The house is constructed of pinkish-brown brick laid in an English garden wall bond pattern, and it has a pantile roof. It has two storeys and originally three windows on the first floor. A set of two steps leads to a centrally positioned entrance with a plank door. The windows are 12-pane Yorkshire sash windows. The ground-floor window openings are arched elliptically. There are chimney stacks at the ends of the building. Later additions and alterations include a range to the rear of the property.
