Description

A pair of houses, originally one dwelling, dating from the mid-18th century. Later additions and alterations have been made. The houses are built of pinkish-brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a pantile roof. They have seven bays and two storeys, with attics to the gables. The plan is a lobby-entrance type, with an outshut and a rear extension. There is a plinth, and three steps lead to the central entrance, which features a panelled door within an eared architrave with a dentil frieze and hood. Otherwise, access to the rear is from the front. Twelve-pane sashes are present throughout; blocked openings are above and beside the front door. Ground-floor window openings are topped with flat arches of rubbed brick, and first-floor openings have header arches. A wooden eaves cornice runs along the top. End and ridge stacks are visible. The left gable end features a twelve-pane and a six-pane two-light Yorkshire sash window under elliptical arches.

The interior retains some moulded cornices and six-fielded panel doors.
