Description
Springfield is a house built in the early 19th century. It features a rendered and colour-washed exterior with a cast tile roof. The building is two storeys tall and has a symmetrical elevation with three bays, along with single-storey, single-bay wings on both the right and left sides. The corners are marked by vermiculated quoins.
The entrance includes a 20th-century panelled door set within a doorcase that has attached Tuscan columns supporting a pediment. On either side of the door are four-pane sash windows, each with a sill band and wedge lintels that have alternating raised segments. The first floor also has three similar windows, again with a sill band. The roof is hipped, and the wings feature four-pane sash windows with a sill band beneath similar wedge lintels. The building is topped with ramped coped parapets that end in pilasters carrying urns.
