Description
No 4 on Main Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a parallel rear range under a double-span roof. A 20th-century glazed porch has been added to the entrance. The front door consists of six raised and fielded panels and is topped by a fanlight with radial glazing, set within panelled reveals and a pilastered doorcase. The windows are four-pane sashes with sills, placed under wedge lintels. On the first floor, there are three similar sashes. The house has sprocketed eaves, end stacks, and raised gables.
