Description

No. 36 on Saturday Market is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall, constructed in painted stucco with a slate roof. It features wooden spouting supported by widely spaced brackets. The first and second floors each have three hung sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor is characterized by channelled rustication, while there is a cill band on the first floor. The building also has rusticated quoins. The wooden doorcase is adorned with fluted Ionic pilasters and an entablature, and the door itself has four sunk panels and a blank fanlight above.
