Description
Graysgarth House is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of light brown brick with stone dressings and features a graduated slate roof. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical elevation with three bays across and three bays deep. The left and right bays have bows that rise through the full height of the house.
The house has a plinth and a porch supported by paired Tuscan columns that hold up an entablature. The front door consists of four bolection-moulded panels and is flanked by sash windows with sills and glazing bars. These windows are set under channelled wedge lintels that have raised and decorated keyblocks. There is a band at the first floor, which features three similar, smaller sash windows under cambered channelled wedge lintels with decorated keyblocks.
The eaves overhang on paired brackets, and there are axial stacks on a hipped roof. To the right and left of the central first-floor window, there are heraldic shields made of stone.
