Description
No. 39 and the adjoining outbuilding to the right are a house and outbuilding dating from the late 18th century. The house is built of brick, which is colour-washed, and has a pantiled roof. It is two storeys high with a symmetrical elevation of three bays. The building features a plinth and a six-panel door set in a fluted architrave, which is sheltered by a projecting hood. On either side of the door are 16-pane sash windows with sills, all of which are topped with segmental brick arches. On the first floor, there are three 12-pane unequal sash windows with sills. The house has a stepped brick eaves cornice, a raised gable on the right, plain close verges on the left, and end stacks. The adjoining outbuilding to the right is constructed from coursed rubble, with an additional bay in brick to the right, and also has a pantiled roof with plain close verges.
