Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century house situated on the south side of Main Street, Bishop Wilton. The house is built of brick, now rendered, with a pantiled roof. It is two storeys high, with a symmetrical three-bay facade and a continuous rear outshut. A plinth runs along the base. Three stone steps lead to the central entrance, which features a 6-panel door set within a 20th-century fluted architrave topped with a pediment. Flanked on either side of the door are 16-pane sash windows with sills. The first floor has three matching windows. The end chimney stacks have been rebuilt, and the roof verge is plain. The building is listed for its group value.
