Description

These three houses at 43, 45, and 47 Corniche Road were built in 1898 as part of the Port Sunlight village development, designed by T.T. Rees. The houses are constructed of brick on a stone base, with plaster on the first floor and a tile roof. They are arranged with two storeys and three gabled bays, featuring a brick cornice to the ground floor and projecting, jettied gable apexes. The windows are casements with transoms and small upper panes, arranged in four-light patterns. The ground floor includes a central canted bay window, while the first floor has canted oriel windows. Each house has a flat-canopied entrance with a plank door, fitted with two small lights. Two chimney stacks run across the facade. The rear elevation mirrors the front, with dormers and privies.
