Description

A terrace of seven houses located on Primrose Hill, Bebington, built in 1906 by architects Ormrod and Pomeroy as part of the Port Sunlight village development. The houses are constructed of brick with roughcast on the first floor, timbered gables, and a tile roof. They are arranged over two storeys and seven bays, with the first bay projecting and a canted rear, and the second, fourth, fifth, and seventh bays breaking forward under asymmetrical gables; the gables to the fourth and fifth bays are paired. The first floor is jettied on a bressumer, with some posts. The ground floor features five-light canted bays on battered bases, with leaded casements. The first floor has five-light canted oriels with leaded casements to the gabled bays, and the others have three-light leaded casements in gabled half dormers. Segmental-headed entrances have two-panel doors and leaded lights with rose motifs. There are five cross-axial chimney stacks, and one in the pitch. The right return has a tall light under a gabled half dormer, while the left return features a projecting gable and a lateral stack. The rear elevation is similar, with half-dormers.
