Description

Three houses were built in 1899 by Edmund Kirby as part of the Port Sunlight model village. The houses are constructed of brick with a hipped tile roof. They are arranged as one storey with an attic, comprising three bays, with the end bays set back and the central bay projecting forward under a gable. The houses feature a sill course and a projecting canopy above the ground floor, which extends from the roof. The ground floor windows are four-light casements with leaded upper panes, and central two-light casements flanked by sash windows; the central window has a plaster band above. The first-floor windows are similar, with the end bays having segmental heads, and a central hipped dormer with a four-light casement. Segmental-headed doorways have doors with leaded lights, the central doorway having a sash window to the left. Two cross-axial and return lateral chimney stacks are present. The rear elevation is similar, with three gables and sash windows, and includes privies.
