Description
This is a terrace of four houses located at 10-16 Boundary Road, Port Sunlight, built in 1899 by the architectural firm of Douglas and Fordham. The houses are constructed of brick with tile roofs. The two-storey terrace is four bays wide, with the central bays projecting forward under a hipped roof, and the end bay featuring a gable. A brick band runs along the ground floor, above which is plaster diapering. The gables are also plastered. The windows are leaded casements. The ground floor windows have double-chamfered mullions and elliptical heads to the lights. The first bay incorporates a three-light half-canted bay window with a hipped roof, adjacent to a projecting lateral stack and a small light. The first floor has windows arranged as 2:4:4:5 lights, with gablets above those in the central bays. The elliptical-headed entrances each have plank doors with three lights and strap hinges. Two stacks are positioned across the terrace. The rear elevation is similar in design and includes privies.
