Description

This is a terrace of six houses located in Port Sunlight. They were built in 1914 by J. Lomax Simpson. The houses are constructed with roughcast rendering on a brick base up to window sill level, and have hipped tile roofs. The terrace is two stories high, with six bays. The first floor is jettied, and the second bay features a timber-framed gable. The sixth bay projects forward under a gable, with a brick ground floor and a timber-framed first floor. The windows are leaded casements, mostly with four lights. The sixth bay has a three-light window with a transom on the ground floor. The entrances are covered by flat canopies; one pair of canopies have weatherboarded gables. The doors are plank doors with leaded lights. There are three chimney stacks arranged cross-axially. The right return has projecting ends, a central gable over a recessed entrance, and a lateral chimney stack to the right. The rear elevation has small-paned casements.
