Description
The Crown Public House is a purpose-built public house from the later 19th century. It features stucco over brick with a partially decorative tiled ground floor. The building has three storeys and a four-window range facing Camden Street, a seven-window range on Conway Street, and a canted angle that contains a now-blocked doorway. The ground floor has round-arched doors and windows, which are divided by tiled pilasters with embossed decoration. The two bays facing Camden Street are finished in channelled stucco. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes set in stressed architraves, with entablatures supported by brackets. Inside, the late 19th-century interior remains largely intact, including the bar, fixed benches, and the division into a series of rooms.
