Description
This is a terrace of seven houses located at 15 to 27 Lower Road, built in 1906 by C.H. Reilly. The houses are roughcast with a half-hipped tile roof and are arranged in a crescent shape. They are one storey high with an attic and consist of 14 bays. The ground floor is recessed behind a skeletal colonnade and features a cat-slide roof, with end blocks that have flat bands. The windows are paired sashes with glazing bars and plank shutters that have pierced circles. The first floor includes round-headed roof dormers with flanking scrolls and small-paned casements. The entrances have overlights and two-panel doors with small-paned lights, while the end blocks have inner round-headed openings. There are eight cross-axial stacks. The returns feature sashed windows with shutters and central canted bays under hipped roofs. The rear of the houses is similar, with shaped gables on the end bays.
