Description

The former barn and stable range at Lower Farm, now functioning as a pub-restaurant, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from roughly coursed and squared stone, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The structure features a threshing barn on the left, which has an advanced entrance bay flanked by splayed walls and double plank doors. To the right is the main storage bay, which includes an inserted door set within an added gabled porch and two tiers of ventilation slits. A narrow range on the left connects to the farmhouse. To the right, the former stable has three doorways separated by two fixed-light windows, with the outer doors featuring chamfered stone lintels. There is also a hayloft entry above.
